My professor insisted that I move my story forward more quickly by having my two main characters sleep together early on in the screenplay. So, against my better judgment, I did that.
All semester long (and this was last spring) I was waiting for my classmates to offer some ideas, guidance, criticism, whatever. Finally, one other student read my screenplay (we were supposed to be reading and responding to one another's work all along; I was doing my job). Her one and only comment was that it seemed my two main characters slept together too soon.
